Here Catahoula owners can learn what is important when working with cattle. The Catahoula’s capability for this task can be tested.

SAR dog work and mantrailing with Catahoulas
Location: Munich, Germany
Catahoulas who are trained as rescue dogs can train both area search and rubble search under the guidance of experienced trainers on a training area in the north of Munich.
The event is also suitable for Catahoula owners who want to try it with their dogs.
The mantrailers can work trails of all levels of difficulty in the city of Munich or the surrounding area. Also suitable for beginners!

Attention: Unfortunately we had to cancel the herding event. For various reasons, Mitrov Farm currently has no young bulls for such a workshop.

NALC & EALC Show at the Mitrov Farm
The working abilities of the Louisiana Catahoula will be shown in various trials – working cattles, SAR work, Mantrailing, Bikejöring/Scooter and others. In addition, a Dog Show will take place. Some of the trials and the dog show will be judged maybe by a NALC Judge of the United States. More information, the trial rules and entry form here.

Herding Cattle – Testing the innate drive of the Catahoula The tests will be scaled to the Age and experience of the dog. This course is suitable for Beginners as well as those interested in testing their Catahoula. A reliable level of obedience is recommended.
At this event we offer also an evaluation of your Catahoulas conformation according breed standard. It will be done by an experienced judger for Louisiana Catahoulas.
Location: Fasanhof in Podmitrov The Fasanhof is a farm in Podmitrov by Brünn in the Czech Republik. The Farm is organic employs humane animal husbandry Karel Kalny, the owner of the Farm, has been working his Catahoulas here for a number of years.
The second Trainer, Helena Synkova, has many years of experience with the running of Cattle Herding Tests. The experienced dogs may run the test and the standard shall be as given by the NALC.
Accommodations are available in the Pension Lesni. Booking of accommodation in the registration form.

„Catahoula Search and Rescue Dog Event of EALC“
Like last year, this event is designed to meet the needs of beginners and for people who have an interest in working in the Search and Rescue field or people who just want to try this work with their Catahoulas.
But of course also the as SAR dogs working Louisiana Catahoulas, of which there are now many out there, will find its challenges. The SAR dog handlers will have the opportunity to exchange experiences and training methods.
We plan a Workshop for Disaster, scent working, Tracking (Wilderness – Woods) and Mantrailing.
Location: Leipheim / formerly German Armed Forces training ground (now training ground of SAR dog squad BRK Günzburg)
Number of participants is limited.

This time we could book the Seven Valley Ranch, which is already looking forward, to welcome this extraordinary breed on their ranch.
