Foundation of a working group for the Louisiana Catahoula Leopard Dog in Europe<\/p>\n

“European Association of Louisiana Catahoula Leopard Dog \u2013 EALC”<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Mission of the association:<\/strong><\/p>\n

We want to actively contribute to the preservation of the Louisiana Catahoula Leopard Dog \u2013 to preserve his good health, working abilities, extraordinary character, and breed standard.<\/p>\n

For this reason we have given ourselves the following tasks:<\/p>\n

\u2022 Workshops and Seminars for the training and working of the Catahoula<\/p>\n

\u2022 Organization of Catahoula gatherings<\/p>\n

\u2022 Test of working abilities<\/p>\n

\u2022 Public relations<\/p>\n

\u2022 Exchange of experiences<\/p>\n

\u2022 Advice for upbringing and education<\/p>\n

\u2022 Reports about the Catahoula as a working dog in blogs<\/p>\n

We want to win experienced Catahoula owners, breeders, dog trainers and other experts, to provide their expertise to interested people in workshops and seminars. Friends of the breed, future or new Catahoula owners are welcome, too.<\/p>\n

We are not a breeding club. We will only occasionally organize exhibitions. Exhibitions should serve only the\u00a0judgement of conformation\u00a0and thus the suitability for breeding and maintaining the appearance of the Catahoula. The Louisisana Catahoula Leopard Dog is a working dog, not a show dog who wants to spend his weekends in exhibition halls.<\/p>\n

We are convinced that the Louisiana Catahoula Leopard Dog is a working dog, not a dog for exhibitions.<\/p>\n

If there is enough competence, breeding experience and relevant expertise in our group, we will in individual cases and on request give breeding advice: important health tests before breeding, suitable mating, possibilities of registration, rearing and socialization of pups, training etc.<\/p>\n

We want to stay in close contact to the American roots of this breed. We are in close partnership to NALC.<\/p>\n

The EALC is an independent, democratic organization that pursues no economic purposes. All proceeds remain in the EALC and used for the objectives of the EALC and for organizational purposes.<\/p>\n

Membership application<\/a><\/p>\n

Membership fee is 19.- \u20ac per year (23.- $).<\/p>\n

We are not a breeding club, therefore a coexisting membership in any breeding club is no problem from our point of view.<\/p>\n

The establishment of a registered association (e.V.) is planned. The draft charter will be published on this website.<\/p>\n
